Landscape & Hardscape Design + Installation
Hardscaping is more than stone and mortar — it’s the foundation of a great landscape. From paver patios perfect for gatherings to retaining walls that shape your garden beds, we craft outdoor features that last, then pair them with plantings that thrive in Norfolk’s climate.
Our Process
-
TThe first step is completing a quick intake form. This helps us understand your vision, the general scope of your space, and where you are in the planning process. Even rough measurements are helpful. Photos, videos, and inspiration images are strongly encouraged — the more you share upfront, the better we can tailor the design to your space and style.
-
After we review your intake form, we’ll schedule a free discovery call to ask a few clarifying questions, understand your goals and expectations, and confirm we’re the right fit. We’ll also provide a ballpark estimate range based on what we know at that stage (this is not a final quote).
-
If you’d like to move forward, we’ll schedule your On-Site Consultation. A one-time consultation fee is due at booking to reserve dedicated time on our calendar and ensure our team arrives prepared. During the visit, we’ll evaluate the space, discuss priorities, take notes and measurements as needed, and gather the information required to design and price the project accurately.
-
After the consultation, we’ll provide a Design Concept Proposal based on the scope and complexity of your project. If you’d like us to begin drafting, 50% of the design fee is due to start. This deposit reserves dedicated design time on our schedule.
-
Once your design deposit is received, we’ll create your draft design concept (typically within 7–10 business days, with more complex projects closer to 10). We’ll then schedule a meeting (in-person or Zoom) to review the design together, answer questions, and capture any requested adjustments.
-
Your design package includes up to two (2) rounds of revisions to refine the concept based on your feedback. Additional revisions, major redesigns, or scope changes beyond the original direction may require an additional design fee and updated timeline — we’ll always communicate this before moving forward.
-
Once revisions are complete and you approve the final design, we’ll provide your final installation quote.
At that time, the remaining 50% of the design fee is due.
-
To reserve your project dates and initiate material ordering, a 50% Project Reservation Deposit is due once your installation agreement has been approved and signed. Project coordination and procurement will begin after the deposit is received.
The remaining 50% balance will be due at the time of your final walkthrough upon project completion.
-
Once your project is reserved, we’ll order materials, confirm logistics, and hand everything off to our Director of Field Operations–Pete– to prepare the crew and execution plan.
-
The day before — or the morning of — installation, our Director of Field Operations will walk the property to confirm site readiness and ensure the team can hit the ground running.
-
We’ll keep you informed with a clear timeline and an expected completion date.
-
On the final day, we’ll walk the space with you, review the work together, and handle final touches as needed. Final payment is due upon the final walkthrough.
