Landscape Stewardship

Care that follows the seasons.

Stewardship is what we do across a year — not a list of visits we sell. Year-round, hands-on, by a team that understands how a property actually grows.

Fink Residence — established landscape under Gardens by Oz stewardship care
Your landscape should be cared for thoughtfully — at the right time of year, by a team that understands how properties function over time.

Two ways we work with homeowners

Most clients start with a year-round Stewardship engagement. Some need a single, defined visit. Both paths get the same standard of care — they just look different.

Preferred

Stewardship Engagement

  • Year-round care, planned around your property's rhythm
  • One point of contact who knows your landscape
  • Proactive — not waiting until something breaks
From $560 / visit For a medium property under typical conditions
Best for properties that have been thoughtfully designed and deserve to stay that way — and for clients who'd rather stop thinking about it.
Tenant Residence — one-time mulch installation visit
Selective

Seasonal Services

  • Defined scope, defined visit
  • Quoted by visit, not by year
  • Available where it makes sense
From $400 / visit For a medium property; scales by scope
Best for clients with a specific, finite need — or properties not yet ready for full stewardship.

Your year with us

Stewardship is organized around the seasons — not around a list of services. Here's roughly what each part of the year looks like on a property under our care.

Spring at the Manhapra Residence — beds awakening with fresh growth

Mar — MaySpring · the wake-up

We start the year with cutbacks and bed cleanups — clearing dormant growth so what's underneath has room to come up. Beds get fresh mulch. Soil gets fed. Spring annuals come in.

cutbacks · bed cleanup · mulch · spring rotation · early fertilization · edging
Summer at the Martha Baker Residence — landscape in peak season under stewardship care

Jun — AugSummer · the watch

Most of summer is steady, scheduled care — mowing, edging, light pruning after the first flush of blooms. We're watching for pests, drainage issues, anything that says the property needs attention before it becomes a problem.

mowing · routine bed care · post-bloom pruning · plant health monitoring
Fall season — landscape transitioning, leaves turning

Sep — NovFall · the transition

Fall annuals replace summer fade. Leaves come down and we stay ahead of them. Selective pruning sets up next year's structure. The property gets prepared for winter — not just cleaned up after summer.

fall flower rotation · selective pruning · leaf cleanup · fall preparation
Winter at the Stephanitsis Residence — dormant property under stewardship care

Dec — FebWinter · the work you don't see

Heavy leaf cleanup early. Then dormant work — structural pruning, soil amendments, planning for the year ahead. This is when good stewardship is most invisible and most consequential.

How it works

1

We walk the property

On-site, with someone who'll actually be involved in the work. We listen, we look, we tell you whether we're the right team.

2

We build a plan

Custom to your landscape, the year, and the way the property actually grows. Written, line-itemed, no surprises.

3

We show up

Year-round, on schedule, with a single point of contact who knows your property by name.

Ready to talk?

Tell us about your property and what you're hoping for. We'll take it from there.

Stewardship engagements begin with an on-site consultation ($150).
